Solar Light Battery
The Solar Light Battery is a specially designed battery used to support the normal operation of solar streetlight systems. A reliable solar light battery should have the following advantages:
- Thoughtful Installation Design: Solar light batteries are typically positioned to avoid direct sunlight. For outdoor applications, a common practice is burying them underground. Therefore, the first step in a proper installation is choosing a suitable underground box that matches the specific installation location. It should be waterproof, salt-resistant, and moisture-resistant. Different underground packages may be selected based on these factors, and appropriate interfaces should be reserved. Another method is to install the battery box beneath the solar panels, allowing it to directly store the electricity generated by the solar panels during the day.
- Meeting Power Requirements: Solar light batteries need to work with solar panels, so having a charge and discharge Battery Management System (BMS) that meets the specified current requirements is crucial.
- Long Lifespan: Selecting A-grade lithium iron phosphate cells from top domestic brands like CATL, EVE, Gotion, Ganfeng, etc., is essential. These cells offer a cycle life of over 3,000-5,000 cycles (the actual lifespan depends on the battery storage temperature).
- Low Self-Discharge: Due to the characteristics of lithium-ion cells, the monthly self-discharge rate should be less than 3%.
- Customizable Output: Output options such as parallel or split output, terminal types, shell shapes, and support for other communication functions can be customized—remote monitoring of the battery status.
